Dit waren levensmiddelenwinkels waar essenti\u00eble producten voor de plaatselijke families werden verkocht en waar alles verkrijgbaar was. Deze winkels waren een <strong>referentiepunt en een ontmoetingsplaats voor de inwoners van die tijd<\/strong>.\nMaar Bianca deed nog meer. Ze begon ook met het bereiden van gerechten, eenvoudige gerechten uit de <strong>traditionele keuken<\/strong>, voor reizigers en arbeiders op doorreis, waardoor haar winkel <strong>een echte herberg werd waar men goed at en dronk.<\/strong>\nWinkels zoals die van Bianca waren echter geen lang leven beschoren, want zij werden vervangen door grotere en beter gesorteerde winkels die nu per auto bereikbaar waren en waar ook op het platteland intussen steeds meer gebruik van werd gemaakt. De winkel van Bianca werd in 1963 helaas gesloten.\nBijna 60 jaar later, tijdens de bouw van ons nieuwe restaurant, vonden we bij het leeghalen van de grote schuur van de boerderij, die zoveel jaren alleen als opslag had gediend voor stoffig gereedschap, <strong>een oud boek met vele handgeschreven recepten<\/strong>. Uit gesprekken met de dorpsoudsten, die zich Bianca's winkel nog goed herinneren, konden we opmaken dat het inderdaad haar receptenboek was.\n<strong>Daarom hebben wij besloten de naam van ons restaurant te wijden aan nonna Bianca, een bron van inspiratie voor ons omdat ook wij ervoor gekozen hebben onze gasten heerlijke gerechten van de traditionele keuken aan te
